Lydia’s role as a Client Services Manager is extremely important. As Lydia puts it, her approach to service is “to do what the client needs as soon as possible.” It involves client service and database management, client correspondence, file management and assistance in client acquisition and marketing efforts. A client of the firm since 1983, Lydia joined the Jaykay Wealth Advisors team in 2007. Lydia says that the daily routine can change like the weather, but every day is a great one when working with the staff at Jaykay Wealth Advisors, Inc. She certainly brings a sunny and positive attitude to the firm.
Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Lydia graduated from W.B. Ray High in 1968. Preparing for the future, she took many vocational office and accounting classes. She worked her way through high school at J.C. Penney, Bellaire Drugs, Boys Club of America and for the City Police Department. Lydia says that these were great jobs which taught her early in life the value of patience, service and helping people. For twenty-six years thereafter, she owned and managed a successful signal construction company that at its peak, employed eighty people with revenues of $8 M. In 2007, due to economic constraints, Lydia decided to sell her business assets and retire, and shortly after, she joined the Jaykay Wealth Advisors team as a Client Service Specialist.
Lydia has traveled to Japan, Puerto Rico and many other places around the world before making Houston her home in 1979. She comes from a wonderful family, being the eldest of six children with several nephews and nieces. She has one child Angelita whom she calls her Angel.
