Jay Kabad, CFP®

President and Founder

Jay Kabad, CFP®, is President of Jaykay Wealth Advisors, Inc., in Houston, Texas. In business since 1982, Jay provides financial guidance to affluent individuals and families, business owners and executives, professionals and retirees. The areas he focuses on are investment management, retirement and estate planning.

“Wealth accumulation and a comfortable retirement do not come about without careful planning,” says Jay. “My clients are active people, many of whom are already successful at their business or profession, and are devoting their spare time to family activities, travel, sports and hobbies. They have neither the time nor the inclination to develop financial plans for themselves. They rely on me to do what I do best so that they can attend to their other priorities. I strive to establish and maintain long-term relationships, because working toward financial success is an on-going process that will help produce financial stability for generations to come.”

Jay earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology in India, and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, PA. His registrations, which are held through LPL Financial, include the General Securities Principal (Series 24), General Securities Representative (Series 7), Uniform Investment Advisor Law (Series 65 held with Jaykay Wealth Advisors) and Texas Life and Health. He shares his knowledge through a series of educational seminars and workshops on Asset Allocation, Estate Planning, Investments, Tax Minimization, Diversification and 401(k) plans. These seminars and non-credit courses have been conducted for corporations, non-profits or for the public through the University of Houston. Jay is vice president of a non-profit organization as well as a member of the Financial Planning Association, Houston Chapter. In 2012, Jay Kabad was elected to be on the Board of Directors for the Financial Planning Association and served as Director Public Relations/ Awareness.

Jay came to the United States in 1980. “It just takes perseverance and hard work to make use of the tremendous opportunities this country offers,” Jay says, as he has built a successful wealth management firm in the last 30+ years. In his leisure, Jay enjoys travel and golf; he was the National Number One Ranked Table Tennis Champion of India, which he represented in tournaments around the world. Most of all, Jay likes to spend time with his wife of over 30 years, Kanchan. The Kabads make their home in Sugar Land, Texas.
